1. Operator and service
Mermaid Studio is operated by Youjin SaaS, represented by Youjin Jung, at 58-5, Yangjae-daero 87-gil (Seongnae-dong), Gangdong-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Registration/tax identifier: 3110978060. The service provides browser-based tools for writing, rendering, exporting, saving, collaborating on, and sharing Mermaid diagrams.

The service is currently open worldwide, subject to applicable law, provider availability, and future operational or regional restrictions. We will publish material changes to supported regions in the applicable notices.
2. Accounts and security
You must be at least 16 years old to create or maintain an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You may not share credentials, bypass access controls or limits, or use another person's account without authorization.
3. User content and public sharing
You retain your rights in Mermaid code, diagrams, comments, and other content you submit. You grant us the limited, non-exclusive rights needed to host, store, render, back up, transmit, collaborate on, and display that content to you and the people you choose.
When you enable public sharing, the project and its Mermaid source may be accessed by anyone with the link and may be copied or indexed by third parties. You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit and share the content. Do not publish passwords, credentials, personal data, confidential information, or material that infringes another person's rights.
4. AI-assisted generation
AI generation is an assistive feature. Your prompt and relevant Mermaid code may be sent to external AI providers. You must review all output before using it. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or unsuitable for a particular purpose, and does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or security advice.
Production requests use OpenRouter ZDR routing. Mermaid Studio does not intentionally retain raw prompts, conversation history, or generated responses in its application database or routine application logs, and does not use them to train its own models. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, personal secrets, confidential business information, or material you are not authorized to send to an external AI provider. The service may identify generated or AI-assisted content in the editor, saved projects, public shares, or exports. See the AI data processing notice.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to violate law or another person's rights, upload malware, abuse or overload the service, scrape private data, probe security controls, distribute unlawful content, or interfere with another user's access. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or service operation.
6. Availability and third-party services
The service depends on third-party authentication, hosting, storage, security, monitoring, AI, and other providers. Those providers may have their own terms, privacy notices, availability limits, and regional restrictions. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
7. Plans, payments, and consumer rights
The available plan structure is Basic at $0, Starter at $10 per month or $96 per year, and Pro at $20 per month or $192 per year. A yearly subscription is charged upfront for the selected annual period. The checkout page shows the applicable currency, total price, taxes, billing interval, and renewal terms before payment. If a plan or checkout is unavailable in a user's region, no charge will be made for that plan.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same interval unless canceled before the next renewal. You may cancel through the Polar customer portal. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal while access continues until the end of the current paid period. Refunds, statutory withdrawal rights, and exceptions are described in the refund and cancellation policy. Mandatory consumer protections in the user's country continue to apply.
For digital services that begin immediately, we will request any express consent and acknowledgment required by applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms removes a non-waivable right to withdraw, cancel, refund, or obtain a remedy.
8. Account closure and deletion
You may request account deletion through the privacy and account controls. We will delete or anonymize account-linked data according to the privacy policy, subject to data that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup purposes. Public copies or copies made by other users may remain outside our control.
9. Copyright and reports
If you believe content on a public share infringes your rights or violates the law, contact [email protected] with the relevant URL, the basis of your report, and a way to contact you. We may remove or restrict content while reviewing a report and may request additional information.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every diagram will render, every AI result will be accurate, or every feature will be uninterrupted or error free. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or to fraud, willful misconduct, or other exceptions required by applicable law.
11. Governing information and changes
Governing law and dispute venue: The laws of the Republic of Korea, without limiting mandatory consumer, privacy, or other rights that apply in the user's country of residence. Mandatory local rights are not waived by this clause. We may update these terms when the service, providers, regions, or law changes. Material revisions will be published with a new version and effective date.
